Our statement of Faith
Our mission at Kindred Search is to connect the Church in the marketplace. Seeing how the early believers in Acts were “without lack”, has given us a passion to see the church operate beyond it’s people’s difference to be of one mind. Using our gifts and talents to support each other. This mission is also entwined with our statement of faith below. As a faith based organisation we believe it’s important to operate in line with the Word of God.
We believe in:
The one true God, who is the creator and sustainer of all things.
The triune nature of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The divinity of Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully human.
The virgin birth of Jesus Christ, his sinless life, his death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, his resurrection from the dead, and his ascension to heaven.
The Holy Spirit, who convicts us of sin, leads us to repentance, and empowers us to live a holy life.
The Bible, which is the inspired word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and practice.
Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The resurrection of the dead and the eternal judgment of all people.
Family is a core foundation of church and society. Family as in scripture is one man and one woman made in the image of God in the covenant of marriage and having or raising children within that union.
Our commitment
Our mission, statement of faith, convictions and understanding of the Bible has led us to make specific commitments to how we operate as part of a five fold ministry.
We are committed to:
Sharing the love of Jesus Christ with all people.
Building up the body of Christ through community, equipping and worship.
Discipling believers to grow in their faith and to serve others.
Making a difference in the world through the marketplace.
Recognising the five-fold gifts of the Holy Spirit: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13).
Recognising that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the work of Jesus and the apostles today; to live a holy life and minister supernaturally.
